Question about 'i', the square root of negative one...

is i*i*i (i cubed) :

(-1)*i

or:

-i

or are those two the same thing?

Any given real number, like '4' times negative one '-1' is that number negated (-4). Does that, or does it not apply to i? or does it form a complex number with a real part of '-1' and an imaginary part of 'i'?

Dynamo:Magician Impossible

The new show on Discovery, it's about a guy that goes around the place, mumbling stuff with a somewhat scottish accent and doing !magic!
No explanations, no analysis no nothin, Discovery has finally went there, they are now complete and total hacks not deserving of being called promoters of science and knowledge.

Yeah I know the one. DYNAMO! MAGICIAN IMPOSSIBLE!

Hell, his premier trick was to "walk on water" - specifically, the Thames. Guy was just walking on a black board with the cameras angled. The "crowd" that gather around shocked are actors. The "police boat" is also in on the trick.
You already know it's fake because real Londoners would take one look at a guy walking water and be all 'meh' about it. Numpty should try using  the london underground and get to work on time. THAT'S A MAGIC TRICK.

I remember when David Blaine was doing some dumb endurance shtick in a box at London Bridge, one dude teed up and tried to hit him with golf balls. Some other people had a barbeque outside the box while Blaine was starving himself.

Probably the fact the dialogue is so goofy at times ruined the atmosphere for me.

Read the panels and dialogueballoons right-to-left. Counterintuitive, so it kind of ruined the flow for me as well.

I read it properly shortly after seeing the first page. I'm quick to catch when manga is meant to read like that. That wasn't the problem. The problem was more along the lines of:

"We're here to find our holes...I saw my hole on TV...I can find your hole for you...hey, some guy just went in that hole...look, I'll fill in your hole for you, you'll have nothing to worry about..."

I swear I read the word "hole" more than when I read the novel of the same name, "Holes", by Louis Sachar.

So while I was resting I had a dream about the show Seinfeld now being about Elaine trying to profit off of a Bingo/Crossword/Dungeons and Dragons game that is played electronically and via pencil and paper when suddenly Stephen Colbert invades the state of New York and turns it into a giant 2012 Election board game that is then invaded by ponies when the Democrats don't show up. Suddenly a war is being waged on Earth between the ponies of Equestria, the original characters of 4chan's /mlp/ and a bunch of Asian dwarf ponies that act like the drunk midgets from Dwarf Fortress.

It gets worse. Twilight Sparkle has to eat her friends to stay alive and the Asian dwarf ponies send a "gift" of soil and ale, which destroys everything. In the meantime I'm safely in another dimension with my OC, a unicorn pony metalcrafter named Brasswick, making a fortune off of brass flasks and copper earrings. What the actual fuck?

Well you do have to admit, if they hadn't used green screens, those shots would have been much more difficult/expensive to film.
