This is relevant as, twenty-four hours ago, I got a seafood dish from a terrible local Chinese place. What followed was that cling breakdown over my history teacher (not necessarily related, I get at least one a week), then having nausea which, in my delirium, I attributed (quite rationally, I thought) to my stomach being the Pacific Ocean. I've been learning a lot about Austronesian (the languages of native Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Pacific Islands, though not New Guinea or Australia), and so I came to the same conclusion any chap with nausea would, really- my tummy is the Pacific, and the various Austronesian languages, including the thoughtfully labeled "o", "aŋ" and "eŋ", are squirming for supremacy! I even had mental lines drawn on my belly indicating the boundaries of the languages, which had absolutely fuck-all to do with the other map of the Pacific that my mind had projected onto it. Then I got the runs and hung out in the bathroom 'till about 8 this morning; I was still out of my nut enough that I left the door to my bedroom open, culminating in the puppy eating chocolate (not enough to hurt her, thank goodness). Still have the runs, but have taken some pills and successfully downed a peanut-butter bagel and a can of Sprite.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

My dog ate a bar of chocolate as long as he was, once.

Somehow the little shit survived, and even weirder, he wasn't at all effected. He was still hungry.

I think he was too stupid to know how to be dead, so death just gave up and left him here.

Dogs seem to be drawn to chocolate like humans are drawn to alcohol.

I'm pretty certain not all dogs are vulnerable to chocolate.

Its not a question of allergy, Its poison.

Caffeine is technically poisonous. To You too. Its just it isn't poisonous in small amounts per body weight. I.E. Dogs can't drink Coffee either. And you can't consume a ton of Cofee our die. And Pure caffeine is pure poison. And, according to this, caffeine is the most widely consumed stimulant drug in existance.

It really should be. If it messes with neuroreceptors, it's probably safe to call it a 'drug'.

All dogs are vulnerable to not all chocolate.

IIRC it's the cocoa that they have problems with. So dark chocolate is really bad, where white chocolate isn't that bad.

Oh man, why are corrupted video games so hilarious? Those videos made my day.

As to the topic on dogs and chocolate, I've had a dog who got into an unopened carton of valentine's day chocolates.  He ate every last one, tinfoil and all. He proceeded to leave little tinfoil wrappers all over the backyard over the next couple days, if you know what I mean.

I was wondering how my dog was so stupid as to continually chew on a bit of tin foil he got ahold of.

I guess dogs just have iron mouths.

on the dog thing
milk chocolate = dog OK
el cheapo cooking chocolate = sick/dead dog
Dutch cocoa powder is couple time more lethal than cooking choclate

its the theobromine thats toxic

but basically a medium sized dog lab type will not die or possible even get sick if it eats a 100g bar a chihuahua midget will. A st benard won't even know it eat it, some neigbours used to have one. He liked to leaan against you esp if was a wall next to you, 20st of dog dont shove aside easily.

www.takethislollipop.com

My little sister called this to my attention cause it was scaring her, and I had to explain to my Mom as well that it wasn't a real automatic pedophile rapist program, that it was just using information already present in the computer to produce an individually tailored cinematic.
