Cant you just pump co2 into former oil veins?
This must sound incredibly stupid, but hey, we wont be annoyed by it there.
Way ahead of you.

And I still think this is a horrible, horrible idea.

We're talking about a possible 90% reduction in coal emissions. We could use all the remaining coal on Earth without even coming close to hitting a serious warming point with that.

Think of this not as energy production, but energy storage.
This. It's like a battery, but for thermal rather than electrical energy.

Electrical energy would still be more efficient energy-wise, at least for cars, because there wouldn't be as much energy that goes to waste in the form of heat and sound. However, we flat out don't have the electrical energy storage capacity yet.

Holy fuck.
I found a spelling error.
In windows 7. That was really unexpected.

Can't be bothered to upload a screenie, but it says "your pc lack updates" (but in Dutch) somewhere.

I work in a position where I can do something about that (for future release, might be too late for 8...); a screenshot would be appreciated.

edit to not doublepost...:

The Rolling Stones performed at the launch of Window 95 (Start me up...), guess who's performing at the Windows 8 launch?

hint: starts with a 'b'

I am going to break the rules by referencing something that is going on here in the forum...

However, it is me doing it. And this is so mindboggling WTF, I feel it is justified.

I just got a "political" DVD in the mail...

Quote from: from the cover
Dreams from My Real☭ Father

A story of reds and deception

Directed by Joel Gilbert

At age 18, Barack Obama admittedly arrived at Occidental College a committed revolutionary Marxist. What was the source of Obama's foundation in Marxism? Throughout his 2008 Presidential campaign and term in office, questions have been raised regarding Barack Obama's family background, economic philosophy, and fundamental political ideology. Dreams from My Real Father is the alternative Barack Obama "autobiography," offering a divergent theory of what may have shaped our 44th President's life and politics?

In Dreams from My Real Father, Barack Obama is portrayed by a voiceover actor who chronicles Barack Obama's life journey in socialism, from birth through his election to the Presidency. The film begins by presenting the case that Barack Obama's real father was Frank Marshall Davis, a Communist Party USA propagandist who likely shaped Obama's world view during his formative years. Barack Obama sold himself to America as the multi-cultural ideal, a man who stood above politics. Was the goat herding Kenyan father only a fairy tale to obscure a Marxist agenda, irreconcilable with American values?

This fascinating narrative is based in part on 2 years of research, interviews, newly unearthed footage and photos, and the writings of Davis and Obama himself. Dreams from My Real Father weaves together the proven facts with reasoned logic in an attempt to fill-in the obvious gaps in Obama's history. Is this the story Barack Obama should have told, revealing his true agenda for "fundamentally transforming America?" Director Joel Gilbert concludes, "To understand Obama's plans for America, the question is "Who is the real father?""

It is produced by: A Highway 61 Entertainment Production highway61ent.com

the postmarked address is DFMRF, LLC 365 E. Avenida de Los Arboles #1000, Thousand Oaks CA 91360

WTF?

I have not watched it yet, but apparently it also contains faked images of his mother in a bondage/porn film...

I don't believe I have said it but...

WTF!?

For my next magic trick, I am going to conjure gasoline out of thin air.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/exclusive-pioneering-scientists-turn-fresh-air-into-petrol-in-massive-boost-in-fight-against-energy-crisis-8217382.html

Reminds me of the whole robotic refuling stations on mars idea, sent ahead of human explores to make sure we had the fuel to go back. Again from the air, not really sure what happened that tech.

Far future normal petrol is banned, everyone has has green energy vehicles or we got fusion running right, this sort of thing would be away of getting your petrol for powering those historic vehicles in the museums or running your great grampas hummer you just restored so the kids can see what all the fuss was about back then.

My cat just came up to me, acting like he wanted a pet. *petpetpetOWGODWTFWHYAREYOUBITINGMEGODDAMIT* Then he walks away like nothing happened.

This is actually rather normal for cats.

My cat does that. All the time. ALL THE TIME.

Sometimes he likes attacking people when there backs are turned. Someone will be walking, he;ll strike, they'll scold him, he'll strike again. It ends with the person staring at him while they back away slowly.

Cat will meow for food one night, then attack my brother the next, and when we turn to look at him he just menacingly meows as if to say, "You'd better get that goddamned tuna or he gets it!"

One of my friend's cats tried to suffocate me in my sleep by sitting directly on top of my chest. I'm onto them...

My cat is quite possibly going to injure my dog. It's a small old dog, and a very manly fat cat. Ambushes her as she walks down the hall.

I sorta Imagine my dog all of a sudden hearing "WAHAHAH GOT YOU NOW" and then see paws flying. Cat gets sprayed if he does that.

My cat just came up to me, acting like he wanted a pet. *petpetpetOWGODWTFWHYAREYOUBITINGMEGODDAMIT* Then he walks away like nothing happened.

Is my cat collaborating with your cat?

My cat has only vomited on the shirt of a friend who was staying over. He calls him puke-cat. Pukat.
