Valve isn't good with time. This is probably a remnant of their attempt to build a time machine, so they could move the start of the development of their games back in time,  in an attempt to release on time.

Reminds me of the time that steam said I last played TF2: Tomorrow.

btw, Valve didn't exist in 1970 either.
