No no, parallel serial killing would be killing people in similar areas/ways to current serial killers, so you can cover up your kills as theirs. The hard part is finding other serial killers before the police do and mimicking them.

Simple: Hypnotize other people to become serial killers and tell them they only kill with method X. Then kill people with method X.
