I'm pretty sure banned troll refers to ComradeGafarov, the first banned troll with the Forum Games. Just awkward phrasing on Toady's behalf.

Or maybe Comrade was the first one...  I'm getting confused by all these accounts.  I found a few more Oscars linked to it.  I think the original ban was just for fighting or something pedestrian like that.  I'd have to find the original account to find the reason, and that's hard, he he he.

Eh, it's not the worst I've heard. GameFAQs has such people as Gavirulax and TRC who have had thousands of accounts banned.
