You have a funny definition of 'up here'.

Especially seeing as I only live an hour or so outside of Ottawa.

If the seagulls have figured out how to feed on the massive, nigh-helpless blobs of blubber in the ocean, it's only a matter of time before they migrate to the American heartland in search of new food sources.

I keep wanting to picket my local jack-in-the-box with a giant sign reading "GOD HATES BACON".

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I think that was a commercial for some car or something.

Anyways, trying to uninstall Avast since I need to register to continue using it but it doesn't really allow me to register. And now, it doesn't even allow me to uninstall.
You should use the Avast removal tool

It's a no go, the self defense module is on, and when I turn it off it just turns itself back on. Never thought AV software would be more of a nuisance than the viruses themselves :c

Hah, now you know.

In their defense, an anti virus would be pretty horrible if a virus could disable it easily. So there's a lot of hoops to jump through if you're having trouble getting rid of them.

Are you sure you aren't having other problems too? Because when I turned off the self-defence module to test that, it stayed off until I turned it back on.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Pff, you're not the real Sam. He and Dean ride in style, in an 67 Impala.

... Rotisserie accident?
Well, technically, it was a rotisserie rod accident. I was working in the deli of the a supermarket, cleaning a bunch of the rods. The shelf that they were stored on was above my head, so I had to toss them up there, and usually did so by the armload, mostly because it was fun and stress relieving, because working in a deli sucks balls. Anyway, some jerkwad kicked open the door to the end of the kitchen, scaring the shit out of me mid-throw. I turned reflexively, slipped on the wet floor, and grabbed the edge of the sink to keep from falling on my ass. Turns out, the shelf wasn't secured to the wall properly, and when dude kicked the door, it shifted, dropping one of the rods bolt-end onto my hand, snapping my pinky-metacarpal in twain right under the knuckle, and pushing it down so far that the whole knuckle sunk into my hand. Needed a $25k operation to fix it, which the store happily paid for.
