I have no idea how Windows scores its solitaire game. I tried to get a high score just now by doing what seemed to get me more points (like placing aces on twos before putting them above the piles), and instead got the lowest score I've ever gotten on a win. Wtf.

Number of moves. Duh. At least that is how it used to be. It gives you points for every card you get right and takes away points for every move you make. All your careful moves to max your score had the opposite effect.

At least, that is how it used to be, truth be told I have not played any of the little card games and such that come with windows for at least two versions now. They might have changed it.

Newegg.com has sales on jewelry and hunting gear...

Then I noticed some of their section headings... And it included:
Apparel & Accessories
Automotive
Baby
Beuty
Costumes
Fragrances
Handbags
Health & Wellness
Home Improvement
Home Living
Jewelry
Outdoor & Garded
Pet Supplies
Sunglasses
Toys, Games & Hobbies
Watches

WTF? Its like shopping at wal-mart now.

They did have some really nice scopes though.

I did the inconceivable and looked at the help file.
Quote
Under Standard scoring, you receive five points for moving a card from the deck to a column, and 10 points for each card added to a Home stack.

If a game takes more than 30 seconds, you also receive bonus points based on the time it takes to finish. The bonus formula: 700,000 divided by total game time in seconds. Thus, the highest possible Standard score is 24,113!
I question the validity of this, as I've never gotten a score that wasn't a multiple of 5.

So now I'm just as confused as before. Damn you help file.

Maybe all your games have gone on for longer then 700,000 seconds? (What is that? About eight days?)

Must be! Time dilation shenanigans is more likely than the help file being wrong, so that means I've been at work far longer than my time card suggests! I deserve to get paid more! I'll just show my boss my solitaire score and...

Wait. Shit.

ChairmanPoo's new avatar is very unusual.  What is it?

EDIT: Okay, now I see.  It's too squished to make a good avatar though, IMO.
