WoW went downhill as soon as they started focusing more on making the game accessible to everyone, including making it easier so everyone could raid. It's been in a downhill spiral for awhile now, probably going to get closer to death after MoP is released.

I farmed Karazhan for over 12 months. Was not fun.

Accessibility is one of the good things they've done. The concept of "prestige" being tied to gameplay progression can go die in a fire.
The semi-related thing they've done that is actually bad is the massive streamlining. Everything has been distilled down to an efficient grind. Discovery and exploration have been tossed aside in favor of holding your hand down linear hallways so you can beat up loot pinatas.

I just found a book I had apparently accidentally stolen from high school after I graduated.

I have one of those. Borrowed it from the library, thought I lost it somewhere, paid the replacement fee, found it a year later, kept it. At least it's a good book.

Me thinks Blizzard needs to stop making games and start making movies,  Their cinematics are always top of the line, while their games not so much.  I liked Wow, but quit just before the first expansion came out, I had been farming my gear for months, and as soon as the expansion came out my months of farming would have been for nothing,

All the fanboys screaming "kung fu panda!" as an insult to the expansion make me laugh, as I fucking LOVE Kung Fu Panda and WoW making any reference to it is a plus in my book.


I did resubscribe for a month just to try it out. They seem to be putting development time in things other than the loot farming, so maybe I won't get burnt out as quickly as I have the last 5 or so times I've taken a break and resubscribed.

The pandarian monks in Warcraft lore existed before Kung-Fu panda came out.

Yeah, I know that. There's a lot of similarities with the artwork/etc though, and while you could argue they're just pulling from the same sources, that would be mostly splitting hairs. My point was, if someone says "Blizz is ripping off KFP!" my reaction would be "Awesome!"

Got far more sleep than usual last night, mainly because I was really, really tired. And sick.
For reference, I slept from about 10PM to 8:30-9AM, when I usually get about 4-6 hours sleep.

But anyway, the point is that I had a long succession of strange dreams. I don't remember very much of them, except at one point this grizzled law-enforcer type guy (who seemed to be loosely based on my brother, for some reason) was relating grisly stories from his job, including (I think the dream kinda shifted back in time for this story) some violent criminal who had somehow ended up being murdered by two rival mobs at once. Or in very rapid succession.
And then later on, shortly before I woke up, I was exploring some strange, videogame landscape with some small children I was supposed to be rescuing from something, only to be terrified of some spiderwebs up ahead. And then it turned out that they weren't real spiderwebs, just these weird plastic strings hanging from the cave ceiling. I don't know, it was weird.
Then I climbed through a tunnel, the game went to a loading screen, and I woke up.
I prefer it when I remember enough of my dreams for them to make sense.
