Ideally, his home service shouldn't be blocking anything. If my ISP starts censoring sites for whatever reason they are going to get a number of very angry telephone calls and cease-and-desist notices from me.

Maybe one of those fake bombs that shoot confetti.

I'm pretty sure the Postal Service would be displeased when they illegally look through my mail.

Truean, are you in the closet as a gay man with this guy?

That's.... subject to misinterpretation.... :P

If you mean "does he know you only like men/wanna be a girl?"

Unfortunately, yes, by necessity, not choice.

This is another reason it's impossible to expect gays to stay closeted forever and absolutely. Think about it at the beginning, I appear to be a guy, hanging out with his girlfriend. This raises questions from the boyfriends of my female friends like, "who the fuck is that guy I'm going to kill if you and he are together/cheating on me?" Her pretty much required response is, "relax he's gay." Or, at least it's something like that. Same thing happens the close friends or parents of women I hang out with. Sooner or later they want to know who the hell this guy is that she's hanging out with, etc, etc. My friends have to tell their boyfriends something or they'll think she's cheating on them or whatever because she's spending a lot of time with this guy.... [sigh]. Sometimes the parents/boyfriends don't like the idea of their daughter/girlfriend hanging out with a gay/trans/whatever and I've been forbidden from seeing a few of my friends on that basis, which hurts like hell to be honest.

She told him because she kinda had to (or else how was she going to explain spending nights alone with me curled up on the couch watching movies?). I lose more friends that way....

Is there anything tying you down to where you live currently? Can't move your practice to San Francisco, or something like that?

I believe a person has to be licensed in their own state to practice law.  In Truean's case, that is Ohio.  She could perhaps move to Columbus if she wants to.

I may be wrong, but she would have to retake the bar exam in a different state to practice there.

That kind of indicates problems besides homophobia.

Like intermittent explosive disorder, for example.

The only logical course of action, Truean, is to charge what you're worth in comparison.
