Touhoumon, is my guess.

By the way, forum clock's fixed. Less than a minute off now. Such is the mysterious way of the forum clock.

I'd say that the internet has lost all decency, but as we're talking about something that started as a military project to create a self-propagating communication network that could survive a nuclear war that went to a boring corporate filing tool that went to an exclusive communication system for academia that has now become a civilian's cat photo sharing tool and/or pornography distributor I'd say that there was never any decency on these god forsaken machines.

God Bless America.

The forum clock is probably going to vanish into being off again by a bit now that someone's noticed, though.

Ugh, my alarmclock didn't go off today. The time wasn't unset, the alarm wasn't set for pm, it wasn't off, or muted, or on radio alarm on a silent channel. It just didn't go off. It just didn't go off. I  woke up just in time to be late for work.
I've had that happen more than once. Obviously, you need to follow Yoink's example.  :P

:D It works! I have to say, though, I wouldn't really recommend trying it with some new-fangled, touchscreen smartphone. That's just... um.
The only other sure-fire way I can think of to wake up is to keep roosters. Your neighbours will also benefit from a free alarm clock! Expect many new friends!

I find the internet is an analogue of the collective human hive mind. So of course it's 90% porn, 10% other, 50% deep web.

You forgot to add the percentage of people who don't know what they're doing but want to legislate at the internet anyway until their profits return from the pirates. ;)

They're not actually part of the internet, which is why they don't know what they're doing.

You blasted carnivores.

/munches on veggie burger indignantly

*Examines own teeth in mirror*
I do agree that the vast majority of our teeth lend to a vegetarian diet, but if we were meant to eat only plants, our teeth would look different. Like, those four (very slightly) pointy ones wouldn't be there.* Besides, our eyes are set up more like a predator than a prey animal. Binocular vision does you no good when the lion grabs you from behind, its only useful when you're trying to pick an antelope out of the herd.

But I'm told vegetarianism is healthy, so I avoid it like normal people avoid Ebola. I actively seek out unhealthy things.

*Eyeteeth and first premolars are what I mean here. IDK about you, but my premolars have a bit of a point to them,

Ah, but certainly we can transcend what evolution "tells" us to do, no? Phooey on what is "natural."

And vegetarianism is healthy... if you can find things you like to eat. Many vegetarians (this is an even bigger problem for vegans) don't have any variety in their diet and start to lose weight. Western meals are usually centered around meat, so some people get bewildered trying to think of what to eat after switching over. That's why some look like skeletons.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I could live on potatoes. I like them.
I'm not very good at being a vegetarian, though- as much as I hate the idea that what I'm eating died a horrible, lonely death in a abbotoir, I usually get sick if I go too long without eating meat. :( I get points for trying, right?

There are nutrient supplements if you need 'em. Though if you try those out you'll need to determine where they get their raw materials :D (most of the time it's plant based due to being cheaper in the first place but hey)

If you ever get queasy, switch to chicken or turky and keep telling yourself that they're so immensely stupid that it's like eating veggies with a little pink sponge at the top.

Being a vegetarian is okay until you realize that plants have feelings, too.

It's really hard to live off of rocks.

You probably need at least some cooking experience to make a vegetarian diet work, and I know there's plenty of people that have absolutely no idea how to cook. I've found that I can't properly feed myself from the campus dining halls without at least some meat, but I'm getting an apartment with a kitchen in the fall, so once I'm making my own food again it's back to being meatless.
