So, Carreon. Still there. Still failing. Mostly posting it in this thread because all of the rest of the stuff related to him was in here.
I'm deeply impressed with this guy. Not in a complimentary way, but still.
This has to be one of the most dedicated career-suicides I've ever seen.
Better than Ocean Marketing Guy?

It might end up being so, if he keeps at it. Pretty much all he's missing so far is aggressive emails. Honestly though, showing that he knows pretty much nothing about his job is probably a better way to kill his career than being an asshole.

I'd say accusations of cyberterrorism live up to aggressive e-mails pretty well >_>

So I was on Akinator, and I got this question:
Quote from: Akinator
Is your character in a potential Kismesitude with Blade?
Why... Why this question? Why is this question even there? I have seen specific questions before, but nothing this specific or this weird...

Reminds me of a quote (paraphrased from memory) "Man goes out in that hat, shows he ain't afraid of nothin' in the world."

You're saying Carreon is wearing this hat?

My respect for him would shoot up 8 billion fold if so.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Some of the computers at the hospital still use windows 98.

The staff complain continuously about their buggyness. Some people even opt to keep paper records instead of digital ones.
Where the hell is your hospital that they haven't upgraded from buggy and outdated Windows 98?!

Doesn't that pose a risk to the health of the patients, since it makes quick record retrieval difficult?

For pete's blinking sake, Windows 98?! Even the previously-mentioned government areas and their octople-layered bureaucracy managed to get farther than that, even if they do somehow mange to keep some DOS programs in the process.

I think Carreon just wants to be internet infamous at this point. He will be the internet's John Wilkes Booth. Except he'll be the guy who went up to the president with a gun and accidentally shot himself.

So I was on Akinator, and I got this question:

So how many fandoms do you need to be part of to get this?

Only two, actually; Blade and Homestuck.

That's not even all of it.

It's pretty clear to me at this point that the man has some kind of mental illness. We don't let lunatics go raving throughout our towns, so isn't there some place we can lock this guy up without internet for a month while he calms down?

His wife is funnier.

"I spend a lot of time looking at Matt Inman's face in my photoshop projects. I'm looking at it now. It's disturbed."
That is...just creepy.

"They took advantage of the court filing system being down for three days when Charles was trying to file the Temporary Restraining Order, a downage that I would not at all be surprised if it wasn't caused by Inman's gang of anonymous hackers."
Gang of anonymious hackers. I wish I had one of those.

"There is now plenty of proof that Matt Inman is one of a gang of people who promote the same type of ideas that inspired Jared Loughner to try and kill Gabrielle Giffords. Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center, who studies hate groups and hate speech, examined Loughner's sites and concluded that his material on grammar, in particular, likely came from the writings of far right activist David Wynn Miller. If you Google Matt Inman + grammar, you will find a similar obsession. And similar hate."
GRAMMAR NAZIS ARE ACTUALLY REAL NAZIS!

"I see now where Matt Inman got some of his rebelliousness, from his father, Clifford Vean Inman, who has a rap sheet at the Idaho State Judiciary with three separate cases of disturbing the peace, resisting arrest, and reckless driving. His mother is a psychic, who does palm reading, angel communication, tarot, channeling, psychometry, aura readings, and mediumship. She says she comes from "a line of readers, mystics in Europe." I wonder if her family associated with the Blavatsky Nazi crowd. Most of the medium/psychic whackos did. She studied with a Tibetan Shaman in Nepal. Wow. A totally crazy woman. Matt Inman has crazy parents on both sides. No wonder he's crazy, too."
Is this like a double negative with crazy calling crazy crazy?

"This idea that Funnyjunk did the thing that his users are alleged to have done, is the same stupid reasoning that got us into the war in Afghanistan and Iraq: the idea that every person in those countries was guilty because of what some people allegedly did. What happened to individual responsibility? I know, I know, everything's Communist now -- we have GROUP responsibility now. Human rights are out the window -- everything's State's rights now. The Leviathan won against Democracy. The Bill of Rights is in the trash can.

This is a nazi-communist-fascist-right-wing argument."

I think she is confused about who sued who. Also, nazis.

"These Techdirt nazi scumbags are doing to Charles what they did to the Jewish lawyers in Nazi Germany. Accusing him of greed and being responsible for the entire economic mess that our country is in. I mean, that is crazy! No group of people deserves to be so wholesaledly condemned, unless they are a criminal organization like the Mafia. I don't even believe in groups!"
So the gang of anonymious hackers isnt an actual group? Nazis again.

We still use some mainframe systems with a VAX terminal interface

My workplace is still stuck on this as well, and I don't see it changing.

My mother works at BNP paribas fortis, and she still has to use windows 95.
Mayby less outdated then you guys, but still outdated ;_;

Also, when i drove home in a bus yesterday (from a holiday with my class) we watched this movie about some boxing guy and one of his tactics is boxing on music (not the focus of the movie, but i dont feel like explaining it). He always uses the same song.
So i arrive home, and i eat dinner.
the radio plays the same song as that boxer uses.
And its not a well-known song. That was the first time i ever heard it on the radio.
Huge WTF? moment.
