I'm going to do a short test run. If I never return, it was a lot hotter than I expected.

Punch the laws of thermodynamics if you don't come back. Might make it a bit cooler.

Learning to drive in the snow is +10 to winter survival stats in general, though.

Meh. I know how to drive in the snow, and snow removal up there is well-practiced, what with 7+ feet of snow a year (Record low in 110ish years is about 83 inches)

Right now it's 102 degrees fahrenheit where I live. This is the first time It's ever been 100 degrees, and it's HOT.

Yeah, I think even shorts are too much when it gets that hot. If I was in the privacy of my own home (and out of direct sunlight, because there's a reason the sun don't shine down there) I'd be going au natural.

Certainly is the best idea for that location and the current average temperature.

And despite what you might think, it doesn't lead to other activities. Because the LAST thing you want is somebody else's body heat all up in your personal space.


EDIT: Unofficially 107F now. Heat Index somewhere around 118F. And I have to go out into that shit in about 15 minutes, then go pick up spicy Mexican take-out and drive home.
Also, MSH still hasn't come back from that test run.

And then the weather exploded violently! I walk into the store while it's super hot, super humid, and the air isn't moving. I walk out of the store and the wind is blowing ridiculously hard and it feels like it dropped 15 degrees. There's a big storm coming.

I'm back, and not dead. Didn't get to run my full route because I started to feel warning signs, so I diverted to a shorter one and came back. I am utterly soaked in my own sweat and my house feels like a refrigerator.

Goddamn is it hot out there.

Too bad the heat hasn't melted the fat off your bodies, making you fireproof.

in other news, it was 68f outside here last I checked...

Sadly, my office gets up to 84f from all the computers in it.
