Someone will have to explain to me one day why Inception became a meme. Is recursiveness a foreign concept to most people, or do they just really like the film?

I think the meme exists just to make fun of how seriously Inception sold itself on being deep, to the point of implying that recursion is a foreign concept to the mass audience, and then how the general culture totally bought into it like

This. Not to mention how many people were going around talking about how it was so deep and so hard to understand. Can't help but have a laugh at that.

Then of course, anyone who has played D&D or otherwise dealt with multiple planes of existence totally got it right away..... I'll admit it was a halfway decent non standard storytelling device, but meh?

Oh, I liked the movie.  It did sell itself a bit pretentiously, but I suppose that wasn't undeserved based on the response it got from the public.  Regardless, I was only explaining the meme.

I liked Inception. I'm not sure how "deep" it actually was, but it was a damn fine movie. Saw it twice in theaters (once with the family, once because I had a few hours to kill before a concert).

Amazon's prices for SNES games.

I decided to look up how much a game I own (Zombies Ate My Neighbors) is worth and Amazon gave me "300 dollars, bitch".

Then I looked at the related games and I was like "The fuck? A link to the past is 1000? God damn, my SNES collection must be worth more than..."

then I saw that they were all actually for around 20$ and the ridiculous prices were for new SNES games.

CRISIS AVERTED.
