I think that has more to do with securities. How comfortable you are with breaking your budget, or maybe skimping on food or something. How willing you are to go without insurance. Stuff like that.

Your brain thinks that those are interconnected spirals because of the angles of the squares. But if you follow the "spiral" around you don't get anywhere because they are really discontinuous circles. And your brain says WTFBBQ!?

It took probably 20 seconds for me to realize there are no spirals in that image.  It's just four circles.  The alternating colors and the angles of the boxes are composed just right to present an interesting optical illusion.

The cthulhu kitten knew the secret beforehand, thus confirming my theory that eldritch intelligences are responsible for this image.  If you begin speaking in unidentifiable languages and dreaming of vast cities of cyclopean architectures, you might want to reconsider any strange urges to explore remote destinations.

This talk of ZSG in the zombie thread reminded me of my friend in high school who thought the book was real. When I pointed it out to him that a lot of the locations in the book were fictitious, he said that it was a government cover-up. I then brought up how absurd it was to think that the government could conceal the existence of inhabited islands but not stop one book from being printed.

His response was "You believe what you want to believe, I'll believe what I want to believe." I facepalm every time I remember that conversation.
