Somewhere between 50% and 75% of the revenue from the casinos is automatically taken as a special tax that is divided realtively equally among Ohio's 88 counties. One of the biggest reasons that the bill authorizing them was a popular one is that huge amounts of money (on the order of $1,000,000,000 each year) was crossing Ohio's borders into the casinos other states had built along the borders.

By "relatively equally", do you mean each county gets about an equal share, or the higher the population the more money they receive?  Because if it's the former, that would be a little ridiculous.

The bill created four casinos. One each in Cleveland, Cincinnatti, Columbus, and here in Toledo. With the way the system's set up, each city is expected to gain as much from the other three to make up for anything lost.

Pretty sure the division's base on population, but the bill passed two years ago, and I'm a little fuzzy on specifics.
