Nah, it's been a looong time since I did the bottle a day thing -- it's cheaper to get two-liter bottles (by a huge margin -- it is goddamn ridiculous that they sell 20 oz bottles for as much or more than a sixty-something oz bottle.), and I usually just did a swig or five a day, barring the odd caffeine binge where I'd drink a whole bloody one in a day, day inna' half. I find I usually drink considerably less when I go with the larger bottles and drink straight from 'em. Tends to last a week, week and a half per bottle. Sometimes two.

Still. Give it 'till tomorrow, then maybe pick up a bottle. I kinda' feel like making some tea. Just have to remember to make it before noon or I'll never get to sleep at a reasonable hour, bleh.

I gave up caffine for two days last week. It was hell for me and those unfortunate enough to be around me.

I have given up far more evil things far easier than my one last vice.

Yeah, I'll do binges of Mt. Dew when I'm at the in-laws. Otherwise, we don't have soda at home. Instead, I drink gallons and gallons of homemade sweet tea. (Decaf, otherwise I'd only get a few hours of sleep a night.)

There is construction on the road in front of my workplace.  Some kinda work being done on the road where it meets the traintracks.  There has been a big sign there for the last week saying that the road will be closed.

On my way out from work today in the parking lot I saw in stunned amazement some "older gentleman" go around two barricades* that said ROAD CLOSED in big bold letters on a moped and then sit at the train crossing for a full minute.  After a time he started yelling at the construction workers to move their bulldozer out of the way so he could get through.

Note that there was NO ROAD beyond the bulldozer.  It was all torn up, and basically a pit.  It would be difficult to WALK through that, let alone drive a vehicle and then there were the train tracks rising a good foot and a half above the ground level that a SUV would bottom out on if it tried to cross.  Yet this guy is yelling at the construction workers to let him pass.   Evidently the construction workers told him off and he yelled very loudly that he was going to get his wife to fire them all, and that they better watch out, because she works for the city!  He was yelling so loud half the building came out to see what was going on.

Please shoot me if I ever get like that in my old age.

*not two barricades side by side, no, though there were 2 barricades per blocked section.  Two barricades one behind the other which would probably actually total out to 4.  One mostly blocking the road but letting locals in that I had to pass to get to work, and one that blocks the majority of the road 10 feet from the tracks that no-one has any business passing.

I'm not that bad yet.  I think I would have figured out something was up by the 2nd sign telling me to stay out.  Or at least would not have started yelling at some guy driving something with wheels treads larger than my entire means of transport.
