I set my sexual orientation to "prefers men" on Facebook recently... I had it set to "men and women" a while back when I figured I was bi.  Next thing I know, every advert changes to a gay dating site, and a few about testing the vaccine for HIV.  I change it back, and all the adverts change back to video games.

Oh Facebook isn't that bad if you don't have anyone on your friends list, never post anything on it, and never actually log into your account.

Sarcasm aside, as long as you are careful with what you post and who you add as friends you can come across some interesting things on there. I have run into several cool articles that I might have otherwise not because of it.

Remember though, everything you post lasts forever, whether or not you delete it. Just like everything you search on Google.

I only ever really use facebook to keep up with far family.  And occasionaly I chat with my friends, though email is much more common for conversations.
