I have my eyebrows done every once in a while, but all the stylists at the ex-wife's shop always told me that the roots of mens' facial hair are way stronger than anywhere else, and that if you rip them out, it'll fuck up your skin. Also, you'll probably bleed. Probably a lot.

Using wax strips, that's probably true. Due to my unconscious habit of tearing them out one at a time (I have no idea why I do this), though, I can tell you that individual hairs won't cause that. And doing so will cause a noticeable thinning of the area after some time. However, judging by the last couple of months, they grow back, so I might not actually be getting the roots. Which is good. I like my beard.

Disregard shaving, aquire MANLY DWARFBEARD.

Rather, a DWARFLY MANBEARD, to be more precise.

Was just getting something in from the car when I spotted a blinky light in my backyard. Upon further investigation, it was a lightning bug (firefly for you non-Southern types). In mid-March. Technically, still in winter.

Mm, yeah. Summer should be interesting down here in Florida this year. I'm curious if there's going to be an upswing in heat-related deaths this year. Because... yeah. No winter (even by Florida standards), already hitting upper 70s mid to upper 80s and suchlike in march... there's going to be a'reaping this year. We usually lose quite a few, but signs are pointing to a "Let's thin that retiree* crop" season.

*And maybe anyone with lung problems or... whoever's stupid enough to be outside of AC for more than a few minutes, really.

They are interesting little insects. Always made out to be a thing of such amazing beauty, and they are, until you look at one very closely and find they are sort of ugly up close. In that way they are like a lot of fantasies, existing in your mind they are wonderful, and when you look at them from afar they are amazing, but as soon as it is in your hands, it doesn't match expectations...
