Apparently, ((set.get(i) < x) && (set.get(i) > y)) with x<y can still be true for some values. Sometimes even false at the same time.

Either java handles ArrayLists in a really weird way or I'm just that weird a programmer.

Do you drink beer quickly enough to through, say, a wine bottle of it at a go? I'm not sure how pricy beer bottles are, but wine bottles aren't too bad by volume (more'n I'd like to pay, at about $1.20 apiece, but they're 750 mL at least). You could cork your beer!

There's probably a reason people don't do that.

24 12-oz (355 ml) bottles set me back about 50 USD. While the wine bottle idea has merit (in fact, some of the cheaper US-made "champagne" bottles will accept a standard beer cap, The trouble is, I don't like wine much, the local store only carries beer bottles, and I'm leery of ordering something fragile like that online because I know the local delivery people.

Hm. You might look into the possibility of stores that sell such things in nearby towns, if only because if you have a car you can probably drive 70 or 80 miles there and back by spending the price difference on gas. Jeez, $50?
