Wait, did any of us actually not know that? I was assuming that you just meant that it didn't feel right to talk about someone with just their last name, without their first name or any honorifics or titles.

That's what I figured. As for that, personally, I tend to only bother including honorifics or titles while talking about an individual with someone else if I genuinely respect the subject of my conversation, which naturally and automatically disqualifies the vast majority of politicians.
