But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to post that. Also, fixed your spoiler tags.  ;)

I'm sort of hesitant to make the assumption that "I wouldn't be very surprised if that happened" equates to "That happened", but in this case.  :-\

Truth is often stranger than fiction!

'Course it certainly could be fake. Still funny either way :P

Okay, my personal WTF is the way I ended that sentence. It makes hardly any sense, mainly because I ended up with a frankensteinian combination of a couple different ways I was going to phrase that.

Schedule says 2/28; bosses boss sends e-mail that schedule is 2/14; but in the tueday meeting we were told that this was, in fact, a lie to the other recipients to make them think we needed stuff by 2/14, just to make sure we actually get it by 2/28; since they are always late. However, now my boss wants me to update my personal calender to match that date; while we both know full well it's deliberatly incorrect, and me&him are the only people who look at it.

Hah...looks a lot like one of my games where I started as Prince of Smolensk and wound up crafting a Byzantine Rurikovich dynasty. The prestige thing is a bug. Occasionally you'll win a war with a ridiculously high warscore because of the sheer number of claims you have on the defeated. This seems to break the math in the game, and you'll wind up with negative prestige even though you won. For instance, if there was a pretender to the Imperial throne that had claims on the whole Byzantine Empire, and you defeat them and force them to give up all those claims, the program derps and gives you negative prestige instead. Or you wind up with 25000 warscore, but you decide to allow them to keep their original territory and just force them to be a vassal, which results in a settlement score of say 18000. The game then might calculate that because you're settling for -7000 below the max settlement you could obtain, to penalize you by 7000 prestige. It's annoying as hell, and I've learned to save before making any kind of major peace deal precisely because of that.

EDIT: My own personal WTF: the recurrent Chinese spambot posting badly translated chunks of classical Chinese texts. It's sorta annoying and sorta awesome. I'd love to see a spambot that just posts chunks of Shakespeare for no obvious reason.
