I love it

I don't mind spiders as much as some people, but here in California you get black widows and brown recluses, so it's smart to avoid manhandling strange ones.

I lived in California all my childhood, and I just got used to Black widows hiding in the nooks and crannies.

I don't care how used to them you get, it's still smart to avoid getting bitten :/

I'm gonna guess that herpatologists avoid getting bitten by king cobras and the like.

Dunno, being bitten loads of times... = Immunisation

Being bitten once, if allergic/overdosed = Death

Hey, you can get bitten or stung by whatever you want. I prefer not having venom in my bloodstream.

Not really, if you're getting anaphylactic shock first thing you're already screwed, and not much insulin + anti venom can't fix
(There's some guy immune to black mamba venom from being bitten so much. How badass is that?)

Yea. You may not want to do a google image search for brown recluse spider bites if you are squeamish. They can easily? produce huge wounds from the effect.

I think perhaps I am too pleased with having found a substitute for the word "bugs", and I now use it too much. Arthropods arthropods arthropods!

My wife still has a scar from a brown recluse bite like 13-14 years ago, that was misdiagnosed and untreated for several days.

She's a major arachnophobe now, but I still think spiders are neat.
