That image at the top isn't even accurate. The rib cut is in the back, for one, though I'm rather impressed that they put the round in the right place given the difference in cow vs human limb structure.

EDIT: Well, right place-ish. If I'm reading the cow diagram accurately.

Children do fall out windows from time to time. An open, unscreened (or even screened with weak screening) window can lead to a falling death or injury. IIRC, there was such a thing which happened a few counties away a few years back.

I was thinking about Creationists just a while ago and something hit me.

Why isn't Evolution even MORE interesting to them?

I mean SURE evolution is fake and all the evidence towards it is God trying to decieve people to test the faith of their followings... but God has created this whole system and no one is interested?

There isn't more interest in what is essentially a book written dirrectly by God?

Why creationists why?

Mind you this just shows how little I likely know about their possition.

Creationists generally fall into three broad groups.


The "Young Earth" group.

This group believes that the Earth is extremely young (5000 years is the most commonly cited figure, but I have no idea where that came from.) Opinions vary on who faked the fossil evidence and why. Some think that El Shaddai did it as a test of faith. Others believe that it is a lure of Satan in order to draw men from the faith. Still more assume that Darwin and other scientists planted them in order to gain fame. This group is most strongly represented among American Evangelist churches, so it's the only one that most athiests, non-judaic groups, and casual religious persons are familiar with.

The "Honest mistake" group.

These people think that there was no attempt to decieve by anyone, there were just many other species that resembled each other once that have since died out. The theroy of evolution is, to this group, merely the result of well-meaning scholars misinterpreting the record.

The "They're both right" group. AKA "Evolutionary creationists."

To these people (This is my view on the matter, in the unlikely event that anyone cares), El Shaddai created the universe by setting off the Big Bang, then poked at it every so often to make things come out the way He wanted it to. The Book of Genesis is more a parable than a literal record of events.

AFAIK, they believe the Earth was created some 4000 years BCE (EDIT: varies up to ~8000BCE in some YEC groups). And where that came from - simple, they've got the Bible!

We know fairly well when Jesus lived (whether or not Jesus was actually divine), and the Bible features comprehensive lists of Jesus' ancestry, dating all the way back to Adam and Eve if I recall correctly.
