What a day today...
First, the was a large gaylord full of dry goods to put into smaller boxes. A bunch of Asian kids from some church group in New Jersey comes in and starts helping. It was... like a swarm of locusts. What would have taken me most of the day to do(and that's not counting heading out for the day's activities), it took them less than 15 minutes.
Then, at today's outreach, there was this guy, apparently known by the organization, who was extremely drunk, possibly violent. Then he passed out. Then he had seizure. Then the paramedics came. And after that happened, and completely unrelated, an elderly woman came up, and started going on about how she had a deal with us that we would give her our megaphone for whatever amount of money we asked for it, so she could use it to shout stuff at a Spanish abortion clinic. A) she was more than a little crazy, and B) there was no such deal. Thankfully, the staff member who I was with just tried to shoo her away rather than get into it(now that I think about it, I haven't heard my boss' views on abortion).
Speaking of that particular staff member, I think he may be gay. Some of his interests and mannerism point that way, but I think it's the fact that he's often coming on to me(to the point of borderline sexual harassment at times) that raises a big, rainbow flag.
And finally, the bus came to the stop at its scheduled time. If anyone is familiar with the bus system around here, you'd know that's basically a hole in the fabric of the universe there.
