The only reason why I actually want credit is because some apartment owners and potential employers sometimes check a credit report.  I don't actually want to borrow anything.  Hell, I wouldn't want a mortgage to buy a house; I'd rather pay cash.

Not having previous credit implies you are likely to pay on time, which they HATE. The real profits come from failure to pay, and they underwrite lower headline credit rates and interest-free periods.

If everyone paid off the debt within the interest-free time, they would go broke! But they need to keep advertising that interest-free time to be competitive to attract the real customers they are after. They're knocking you back because nobody's meant to actually pay off their bills in that time period, it's just a lure.

My bank is really pathetic about it. They always make the mastercard bills have the minimum amount filled in each month, so if you don't check it and manually change it to the actual spent credit you'll rack up massive interest.

Its kinda like getting a letter from a credit card company threatening to take your credit card away if you don't pay them, and then getting another letter from them to buy a new credit card. Or not, whatever.

So I'm trying to purchase stuff through Steam now, and if I navigate away from the confirmation page for adding an item to my cart, even if to purchase it, it vanishes from my cart and takes me back to the front page.

I got given a prepaid Visa Card as a gift, $50 i think, trying steam now for the first time ... and I have no idea how to buy stuff online at all or use steam or prepaid visa's. This is going to be fun. Or just confusing.

Ain't too difficult if you have experience with other kinds of online stores. Add stuffs to cart, click on cart, then purchase.

I got Steam to work right by using Firefox.
It didn't work through the regular Steam app, and it didn't work in Chromium.
Shit like this is why I keep the thing around.

Hmm...so this only Installs to my C: drive and If I nuke the hard-drive I lose the game? I hope not but that's how it looks.
