it seems the entire movement is based on being alternative and different, but it has become so mainstream that it's not even funny how it killed its own purpose.

The exact same thing has been said of every cultural movement ever, except for those explicitly self-identified as intentionally mainstream/popular.  It's really not a fair way to judge interests, unless someone is obviously attempting to mold themselves into an image purely for the sake of being 'different'.

Industries that stop at nothing to become more profitable are poluting the enviornment in ways that hurt not only animals, but people too.

(I had to open LCS and talk to a dozen people to get a good line here.)

Here's the tamest article I found on that subject.
God-dang that's some nasty poison. I'm reading the article and it's like the negative effects of every other drug rolled into one, plus some:
Quote
The "rotting" explains the drug's nickname. At the injection site, which can be anywhere from the feet to the forehead, the addict's skin becomes greenish and scaly, like a crocodile's, as blood vessels burst and the surrounding tissue dies.
Plus brain damage, motor-neuron problems, vacant stare, pneumonia,  blood poisoning, meningitis, gangrene/amputation, bone rot.

Still, for somebody to be able to produce it themselves in enough quantity to supply constant production for two weeks, while under it's effects, it must be both easy to create and use easily obtainable substances.
So I'm guessing the only reason this injectable form of death is popular is because it is so easy to get.

If they know that it gives a horrible death before they take it--

I do not understand.

Chances are they don't know how bad it is for ya. Or maybe they are fed up with life and decide to go out with a bang.

People are very irrational in general. Extreme short-term pleasure for medium-term death is a good deal to some people. It's just that those people don't have very good judgement.

A bang implies a quick death. Having your flesh slowly and painfully rot off doesn't sound like a bang.

If you're seriously gonna commit suicide, there's plenty of quicker and less painful ways of doing so.

After learning about this drug, it would not surprise me that 'chipping was some form of stimulation to someone somewhere.

Some people take “losing is fun,” too far.

Ehh, would be a spectacular one, but there's still better.

Are... are you taking ideas for spectacular suicides and rating them?!
