The bus I ride home plays the local evangelical (I think that's the particular denomination? They talk about believing being the only thing required) radio station (it always does and other buses play other stations, so i figure it's either stuck there or they have some silly system going). They only have, like, 5 songs, and the only difference between them is that one of them's in 3/4 and another one sounds frigging pagan (the lyrics, the way they're written, somewhat imply the existence of other, inferior gods, which is hilarious)

Typical, though.  It's the sort of blatantly unconstitutional thing you could theoretically get changed, but you'd be putting yourself on the spot in a bad way...  My sympathies.

I suspect that the bus company is just renting out ad space which the church or whatever it is is buying. Anyways.

Oh I have no problem at all with the radio station existing.  I just assumed it was a public bus.

oh man i'm reminded of that time a guy heard a couple people on the bus speaking russian and started yelling at them to stop speaking spanish because we're in america (no joke)

it basically proceeded something like 12 angry men, everyone just sorta shunned him until he shut up, ended up getting off the bus and appeared to be ranting and raving about something or another

i honestly found it sorta funny at the time, since, uh, russian doesn't sound like spanish at all
