I swear, not one person knows how to do their job right where I work, and I'm the one left to fix mistakes because nobody else seems to give a damn. That, combined with a lack of sleep, and several other bits of bad luck like spilling some of my yogurt toppings and banging my funny bone into a metal post, means I'm not having a good day.

This morning brought more posts on my Facebook feed of people talking about how Facebook is awful and ruins people's lives.

People living incredibly deep in the mainstream, trying to not be mainstream, never fails to cause an hours-long disjoint in my thoughts. It's like a logic bomb in sci-fi, it just occupies my brain with trying to process it, leaving my capacity to think diminished for a long time afterward.

I feel like i can't really do anything with Dwarf Fortress modding anymore unless the ability to add activities gets added in. Like, just... having activities that can be added in, doesn't even matter if they don't do anything, as long as there are activities it should be fine. Heck, the current system setup is good enough that the ability to rawify meaningful activities doesn't require too many new features, since selecting emotions with arbitrary thought strings is totally a thing with syndromes ("euphoria due to inebriation" is actually a syndrome called "inebriation" adding EUPHORIA), but there's no actual way to add activities right now, and I'm fairly sure it won't be possible with DFHack.

EDIT: Wait. Wait. I could probably just make units do existing activities. Write my own damn AI for them, if I'm really feeling frisky about modding (which I seem to be).

EDIT 2: Wow, my thoughts are all ajumble with whatever the hell I want with activities. Something seems so much more generalizable and tantalizing about them and I feel minorly frustrated that I can't do anything with that.
