A bit of Wikipedia surfing today led me to find out that literally every Treasurer of the United States appointed since 1949 has been a woman, and 40% of them, including the last three, have been Hispanic. I'm not sure whether there's some Latina Conspiracy in the treasury or if these are just weird coincidences.

The pro-life movement is a worryingly invasive thing. Anyone here noticed how fucking scarily pro-life young adult novels are :(
What's scary about it?

Maybe it's because I live in a different world, but I have many friends who came from India to the UK to become doctors and they're appalled by how easily their colleagues disregard human life, and I'm not just talking embryos or zygotes where the loss is only potential; I'm talking adult people having their doctors give up on them on the same non-applicable logic. Though your evangelicals may be pro-life for obnoxious reasons, over here for example in the medical interviews we've had it swing the other extreme. For the new prospective students, they've found it worrying that when asked whether they would carry out an abortion, they rush to say they would with no questions. Before we had people from strict Muslim, Hindu or Christian (stricter than your evangelicals) nations who'd put care over creed and say if they were in such a situation they'd do it once the patient was aware of all options and aware of what they were doing, being pro-choice, not pro-abortion. Now, just that notion of no questions. If a girl with cancer says she wants to die they have no questions... I wouldn't trust them to be doctors, soldiers, only engineers.

Has anybody ever heard of juice having clam extract in it? Because I now have seen one.

I was in the store earlier today and saw that V8 juice has a new brand called 'sea salt and clam chowder', I was like 'does this ACTUALLY have clam in it???', looked at the ingredients and yep, at the bottom was 'clam extract'. O.o

I didn't buy it though, not because I'm allergic to shellfish, only because the idea of clam juice in fruit juice sounds bleh.
Look up Clamato. They sell it everywhere around here, for some reason.

I can't say I can see how casually doing what you're told over considering the loss of life is a bad trait for a soldier, from the position of someone looking for a new recruit.

Hey, people sell chocolate bars laden with cheese and marmite these days, your wildest nightmares are now real.
I haven't had those but I have had spicy chocolate and liked it, like Ashens did.

I didn't mean scary because its pro life. I meant young adult fiction seems to have no abortions at all, and a lot of teenage pregnancies. Abortion is considered and talked about, but I've never about read one, and until recently, I read a fair bit of young adult stuff.

There's just no representation, as far as I can see, of the other option ocurring.

Spicy chocolate and pepper laden chocolate has been a thing for a while, though, and the tastes actualy combine pretty well. Pepper tends to mysteriously be not that bad when combined with sweet things, specially very sweet things, like honey. Pepper sauce with honey is goddamn heavenly.

#4 on that list is Somari the Adventurer, which from the images available there seems to be a bootleg mixture of sprites and artwork from Sonic and Mario.  Since most bootleg games are broken messes it wouldn't surprise me if that game really is #4.
That image editing though.

Seamless, amirite?

On a related note, while reading about entirely unrelated things I stumbled on these bizarre bootlegs: Puckman Pockimon and Jue Zhan Tian Huang. Puckman Pockimon is a 2-player Pac-Man knockoff where player 2 gets to play as a disembodied Pikachu head; Jue Zhan Tian Huang is a beat-em-up where you fight recolors of Street Fighter characters, who are regular enemies.

Also this is my favorite unfinished Polish building

Yeah, that weird one.

Except the" mother" didn't choose, in it, a random person from outside who was just better than them all, as she was a protagonist, acting on instinct chose. To let the weird thing live, rather than kill it, as was the mother's decision.

In a way, a whole lot weirder.
IMO it would have been far better narratively if they had killed it and the episode was about having to deal with possible mistakes made with incomplete information and high stakes. The kind of thing sci-fi is suited to looking at, you know?

Can we get Chris-chan to team up with a bootleg Chinese video game studio to make official Sonichu games?

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.
