I mean, if you want to make money off porn camwhoring is a pretty good way to go about it. But instead they keep making relatively expensive productions that nobody's really all that bothered about.

No. There's still a few magazines and similar media around, but the primary focus nowadays is blu-ray/DVD sales and website subscriptions, with individual download sales being the primary moneymaker for the more "out-there" studios. It is so easy, however, to just torrent the scenes, watch them on a pirate site, or simply use a hacked/shared login to access the site in the first place that these income sources are badly hit.

The exact material they're producing is extremely popular - the latest scenes from several of the studios have >1k seeds on their torrents, and hundreds of thousands of views on the tube sites. It is simply that not enough people watching those scenes paid for them.

That's interesting. Altho they don't look all that nazi to me. Probably just aligned against the high number of commmie and socialist parties running amok at the time.

And even then they were neither the largest nor the only party to remain active after WW2.

Well, I tried to have some more social life. Music  was too loud, it turns out, that I cant really care about bowling ball hitting or not hitting same as expressing YAAay or sadness related to said bowling ball hitting or missing. Beer and vodka are some throat burning untasty goo. How people can spend all their free time like that, really?

Seems to be something between being with friends and imbibing enough of the throat burning goo they can no longer tell what they're doing is boring as hell. Maybe a bit of mutual expression of (lack of) physical skills -- that's actually mildly interesting, some days. Sometimes (mutual) enjoyment of music! Sounds like you went to a bowling alley, though, which generally isn't your prototypical musical venue, so probably not that. Occasionally just because of consistent cultural indoctrination that such activities are to be performed or else (else generally being social ostracisation or somethin'). All sorts of reasons, really.

Bowling, just as drinking, partying, going to concerts etc., is merely a pretence to spend time with other people. If you don't have the need to be around other people in the first place, then these will inevitably take on the quality of pointlessness.

The night before last I had a dream which ended with me ordering a sandwich at the counter of some cafe.
Earlier in the dream I'd been buying the cheap, basic sandwiches from this cafe because cheap, but this time I decided to try something different. I asked for some fancy-looking vegetarian sandwich with lime sauce or something. The guy at the counter entered it on the register, then told me it was $20 and asked if I still wanted it in a rather doubtful way.
Normally I would never spend that much on a freakin' sandwich, but I was offended by the implication of me being a cheapskate, so I gamely went ahead and bought it, then immediately began trying to rationalize my purchase by telling myself it was a special treat to celebrating my just being paid.


Amusingly enough, when I woke up I continued fretting about the excessive purchase until I realised that I hadn't been paid yet and it was all a dream.

Yep. Social activities are all about the "social" bit, not the "activity" bit. If you enjoy drinking, bowling, &c. you can do those perfectly well alone, but expect people to look at you a bit askance.

Normally I wouldn't ask but I am watching probably the sparlyest anime EVER!!! Every girl glimmers and shines and even sweats and cries diamonds.

I swear they probably bleed glitter in it...

Don't get me wrong I don't think the anime is patronizing its audience. It has a very "pretty" aesthetic.

Probably because a lot of little girls like sparkly shit
