Wtf today: Nike paid a bunch of money to design special uniforms for 8 teams. They're called "color rush" and they are 100% awful. One solid color, with basic uniform designs from the regular uniforms. The Buccaneers, my favorite team, are playing in SOLID red. To make things worse, tonight they're playing the Rams, who are in almost all yellow. It looks like football between ketchup and mustard.

Spoiler: He ain't kidding. (click to show/hide)

I think the bigger WTF is that the Buccaneers still have fans.  :P
(Although they are tied for 2nd in the NFC South, thanks to the shellacking Carolina gave Atlanta last week)

 >:(

<-Is from Tampa

I still prefer them than this whole hard-on New York has for the Giants and Jets.

@Rolan7:
I ...
Don't actually know.

But if VB.net is an 'everything is a pointer' language (Java)...That seems like expected behavior.

Making everything a pointer is kinda icky, but at least it's consistent. Better than some things being pointers and others being other things.

...

I thought so too for a sec, but no...  Unless there was a typo.
x = y // x now points to same place as y
y = z // y now points to same place as z

One wouldn't expect x and z to point to the same place after that.  I don't understand how that could even happen, though.
So, then, x points to y points to z?

Now all we need is z = x and the blogosphere will implode.

x should point to y's original data, y and z should both point to z's original data.  I think...  At least as it was written.

Every variable is a reference, basically. And no, that isn't what should happen, but as far as I can tell, it isn't what happens anyways. (Rolan's right)

So did anyone else try to replicate it?

VB.net is terrible and whoever designed it should be flogged.

If you have 3 objects x, y, and z, and you set x=y and then y=z, it will set the value of x to also equal z.
Why. What kind of desirable feature is this.

Quote from: Results from running it
BEFORE: x 1 y 2 z 3
AFTER x=y: x 2 y 2 z 3
AFTER y=z: x 2 y 3 z 3

So by the end x is referring to the object originally assigned to y, and y and z are both referring to the object originally assigned to z.

So...
Are you sure you pushed the right button?

P.S. I normally avoid vb.net.

I've encountered whatever it is before as well, while reading the Xbox Live terms and conditions, which states that members of the Cuban Communist Party are not permitted to use the service.

... Also because Cuba is a vicious despotism, and thus we have economic sanctions to avoid supporting its government.
I mean yeah, we (USA) often conflate communism with despotism, but this is one of those cases where it's correct.  Marx would not like Cuba.

Of course we break our own sanctions to buy tons of apparently amazing cigars...  But that's individuals flaunting the law for profit.  Capitalism ain't perfect either :P

I know that not too long ago, tourists to the US had to show they'd never been involved with communism.
