Yep. There's also a much higher chance of somebody in China actually doing this than if it was Pepsi, because Chinese people have been claiming weird shit (usually almost-extinct animal parts, not dead babies, but still) has 'medicinal properties' for thousands of years, and there's still a HUGE market for that stuff over there.

This blood libel about the chinese eating babies has been thrown around for decades. It's the oldest trick in the book. I'll believe it if it's followed up by other media and more through research. Otherwise I'll preventively call BS on the whole thing.

It isn't really "eating babies", though. It's using them as the ingredient in worthless medicine, in the same way that taking a herbal remedy made with ground rhino horn isn't equivalent to eating a rhino horn. The people moving and buying them probably don't know what is in them, and I have no trouble at all believing that unscrupulous 'legitimate businessmen' are willing to do this to make a buck. Suggesting that individuals in China doing something like this is equivalent to "the Chinese eat babies" is about as valid as suggesting that individuals in the US eating the Double Down is equivalent to "Americans are all massive gluttons".

Pretty much. As I said, this isn't an invokation of the old "eats-babies" line of slander. Hence why it mentioned that it wasn't entirely certain if the pills were coming out of China (though when you're making a list of places with dubious new-capitalists and a surplus of unwanted babies in the region...), and that most of the people involved had no idea what was in the pills. Not to mention that South Korea really doesn't have any good reason to intentionally piss China off, hence why they're dancing around the issue. There's just a wee bit of difference between "fake medicine containing dead baby bits might be originating somewhere in country X" and, say,
