Pizza is alright, but I don't see why people seem to worship the stuff.
That's because you probably can only get crappy Dominos/Papa Johns-tier takeout crap. If I'd never had good pizza it would be pretty meh.

Yeah, try Pizza Hut instead

... no, no, cook it yourself. Pizza Hut is one of the better major chains, but it's still notably expensive and not the most impressive of quality. You want good pizza, you find one of the smaller places with a damn good cook or you do it yourself. Preferably the latter, because it's hella' less expensive. Either a frozen one or just flat out knead the dough and bake the pizza from scratch.

Getting the frozen bases and decorating them was actually a fun basis for going over to play at someone's house when I was little, it's a great way to keep kids amused.

As a young adult (been 22 for a little more than a week now) who makes their own food from time to time I can say that making pizza from scratch can be pretty fun for grown ups too.

When I made my own pizzas at my first university flat my roommates looked at me as if I was some kind of wizard.  :P

I didn't have Dominoes in range for a while when I moved, and had to use Pizza Hut.  The bread was literally dripping in oil.  I strongly prefer Dominoes, the bread is dry but chewy and the sauce balances it well.

Yeah, now I think about it, I want to do this now. Hmm, not sure if buying pizza bases or making them would be a better course of action, is pizza dough tough to make? Could you compare it with sponge cake, pastry, etc?

I've had the take out pizzas, I had the ordinary pizzas you buy from shops, I had pizzas you get the base and make yourself, and I've had a pizza from an italian restaurant, but at the end of the day it was all just pizza. Quality varied, of course, but none of it was a this godly substance.

This, this is truth. Well, unless something has gone REALLY wrong in the pizza-producing process.

Pizza dough, largely just being regular dough, is indeed not particularly hard to make.

... and yeah, pizza is just pizza. Which is good. Roughly the same foodplace as bacon, really. No, it's not some kind of ambrosia from on high (nothing is, by and large), but it's one of the better foods out there, which is reason enough for praise. Also pretty easy to make, even if you're doing it from scratch.

E: And in wtf news, at least two dozen injured in pillow fight. Notable injuries include a broken nose and dislocated shoulders.

Okay it just took me twenty five minutes to make, cook, eat and clean up after a small pizza. Thin crust, tomato paste, onions, capers, mozzarella, Greek yoghurt and a drizzle of grape seed oil.

Bend as in bend without snapping.

Yeah, but the form of eating pizza through folding - calzonication - is performed regardless of the hardness of the bread, and since nobody likes a soggy pizza it can already be assumed that the bed is sturdy when you bend it. So my conclusion that Yoink has dainty little t-rex arms who cannot even fold pizza bread stands :v

Also if your pizza *snaps* instead of silently ripping, it is definitely too hard. It's supposed to be bread, not a cracker! :P

I think it's all relative to what you have around you/local quality/how good you are at cooking I guess. Pizza hut isn't the best pizza, that's for sure. But it's better then frozen pizzas and the making them from scratch (although it looses so hard on price that I still like home made more just because I can have five for the same price), and it's better then almost any of the smaller places around here. (There are a few that are better, but pizza hut beats them in price and convenience.). Even then they are not like, hugely better then pizza hut. Honestly, taking into account personal taste and local quality, I'd certainly say that pizza hut pizza is in fact a pizza you can get if you want good pizza.
