people are actually thinking that the league of legends dota 2 mod is going to somehow kill league

okay let's go over whether that could happen

features that the dota client has for this kind of thing that league's doesn't:

1. cheats in private lobbies
2. able to fairly easily implement sandbox mode with panorama or custom console commands
3. able to play all champions for free
4. all the other fancy stuff the dota 2 client brings (steam community, ability to play in a different server without paying/making a new account, etc.)

features that the league client has for this that dota's doesn't:

1. matchmaking



...there's a clear winner there, and it's matchmaking. Matchmaking is way, way, way more important than stuff like all that. Not sarcasm, lack of matchmaking in a game like League is an easy path to an awful experience. No way is a mod going to kill that.

Unless Valve pulls custom game matchmaking out of a hat, which doesn't seem too out-of-character for them. Then again, they'd probably have to either accept the game for matchmaking or maybe even make the custom game matchmaking buy-in, which definitely precludes Mod That Is Literally Made To Be An Exact Clone Of League Of Legends from being included.

Yeah, despite the deeply intense irony behind that situation, I don't think Valve would get away with directly supporting and making money from a literal clone of League. They'd just buy out Riot and make League of Legends 2.

Or rather a person whose job it is to basically be a pet? In that his job is to shower the person who bought him with affection and the person who bought him wants to shower them with affection.

Escort is probably what that would be called in real life.  I think that would be pretty niche.  You're not going to be able to hire someone to be like that longterm unless you have a LOT of money and most people who have a lot of money and are looking for a good time want more than "affection".

Unless no money changed hands in which case the term would be submissive.

Unless we're talking about LITERAL slaves in which case I don't know people who think like that and I don't care to.

Submissive would be the word, yeah, by and large. Consensual slave is another one for that general realm of things, apparently. And yeah, you're... generally not going to see that sort of arrangement without a sexual aspect involved. Kinda' like, if the arrangement itself is one in a million, it without screwing is one in a thousand of that subset of the population.

... though yeah, EH, there are some that literally sell themselves into situations like that, because they want to. It's very much very rare, especially compared to the ones that don't want to (which hey, is something like a 150bn/year market ), but it happens.

We are all so educated on the lifestyle it sometimes worries me.
But yeah I can't think of it not being a sex thing. If it isn't a sex thing then they're actually probably a servant or assistant, showers notwithstanding.
