Nah, xylitol is in fact a sweetener (and a mild laxative, so don't overuse it). Xylitol gum is pretty much always sugar-free, as the sugar would just ruin the effect.

Other polyols. So other sweeteners, as hydroxyl groups (and their positioning) are responsible for sweetness. So that wikipedia quote is just basically saying that any sweetener works just as well, as long as it's not metabolically useful for bacteria.

Ghosty-girl or weird future alien girl was housed in a blanket, like possessing it,, and for some reason we were trying to coax her out and teach her to be human and live proper, I think it was some kind of taint that we were trying to help her with. (She was having an influence on the world, like "We have until the twelfth before she devours the world," kind of thing. I think I remember something about chatting with RangerCado about "Hey, it happened again, your weird RP character is messing up the universe. Uhm." I don't... I don't know. Dreams, hun.) Happened a few times, and each time it was harder to help her, until the last time when for some reason my mom took her blanket from the building we were helping her in to the house across the street, and all hell broke loose. Rain everywhere, no one was around, and she was in the walls of the house, with blood writings on the wall. So I grabbed the blanket, wrapped it around myself, stole across the street to the house, and brought it inside, soaked with water. She came out of the walls all fucked up looking, like not Grudge "long black wet haired" fucked up but like bloated corpse, came toward me, and I said "Kira, I brought you your blanket."

Boom, dream ends.

I tried to not write it like crappy spoopy creepypasta, but the ending was legitimately 2spoopy, that I was half-expecting the Inception airhorn to blast it was so damned cliche.
