Even if they are, its still quite crappy to have one, but completely sucks to have the other. Coughing you can at least walk around with without making a mess.

True, but coughing can be more exhausting. Just today I had such a heavy coughing fit due to accidentally water when I was taking a shower that afterwards I stumbled over to my bed and spent the next three hours collapsed there. Granted, I was asleep most of that time, but still.

That's not difficult at all. You just cough so hard it agitates your throat enough to trigger the gag reflex, then out it comes.

Every time I see someone doing those elaborate emoticons I'm always mentally translating the katakana (or trying to translate the kanji) in them O_o  I usually end up seeing the individual characters first, and then go "oh, that's a face or whatever".
