To be fair, everyone unconsciously rejects the body shape they were born with.

Fairly sure people die before they reach that state, if something screws up and physical development doesn't manage to continue. Often vaguely horrifying to some degree, too. Various sorts of arrested development are, like, one of those things people point to as proof that the divine must be at least somewhat malicious. Nasty stuff, hellish life for what little those sorts of folks tend to last.

There's some pretty wonky cosmetic surgery out there, though.

Not a very efficient way to bring your desired change to a human system but plenty of people would rather break into their own house than call a locksmith.

Corsets + the healthy lifestyle bs is said to be more likely to shrink your waist (because plenty of people do 1 or the other and get few results). I doubt I'd be supportive of an SO and their habit though.

I am drifting away from the people I consider important. 1 part shame that I haven't even registered for the draft yet(I can't legally work without doing so) and 1 part my disgust of socializing. Socializing through the interconnectedwhatsits is horrible, 80% of communication is just shunted out the door. It is also just draining to find an excuse to communicate and then finding something to communicate that is worth the effort. I get few to no good emotions(not all positive emotions are good) and the chance I will be met with a worthwhile conversation is generally inversely proportional to how much I like the person. I only have so much to say and the relevant bits come up quickly if I like you.

I'm going to go make some weak overtures to rekindle things now.

This, at least, is because it's frankly often cheaper to just outright break the door down and replace it than call in a locksmith, nevermind just breaking in which can be trivially easy (one house I lived in a bit back actually had a decent sized knife holding one of the back windows closed specifically so there'd be something on hand to jimmy the door open if needed. Took like five seconds.). Lock openin' folks can get pretty ruddy expensive.

I think I've come up with an idea for the most offensive and terrible movie ever made. I'm kind of reluctant to describe the plot, except that it's offensive and terrible in a really tacky way.

EDIT: OK, given how bad the terrible jokes thread can get...basically, the catalyst for this movie is that one of my profs, a Jewish woman from New Jersey, had a grandmother who had this particular Yiddish insult that she would never say in front of people-only behind their backs. It basically translates to "you're the abortion that lived."

It's probably the worst insult I've ever heard. Now I'm envisioning a 50's style sci-fi B movie, dripping Poe's Law, called "Attack of the Abortion That Lived", complete with a giant cardboard fetus puppet attacking a major city and a brave pro-choice Navy SEAL with 300 confirmed kills who saves the day.

Another day, another weird movie (or two) to watch on Netflix.
Korean movies are strange. Especially when they involve bumbling bandits and mary sue-ish pirates duking it out, along with gratuitous slow-mo and scumbag whales that eat priceless treasures, all set to a bizarre mixture of K-pop and polka.
Did I mention it makes very little sense?

This movie is actually fucking hilarious and I am quite enjoying it.
