Yeah, tried restarting it first thing. And, yeah, ram's doing ram things, like fluctuating right around 40%, which is normal. I guess I could technically shut down every single program, but most of it is windows 8 services and firefox

this morning a Spanish couple was found alive and well, after they went missing yesterday, during the terrorist attack on the Museum in Tunis.
Turns out they had been hiding inside the museum all along, ever since the shooting started.

I nominate them for the title "World Champions Hide and Seek". Not only did they save their lives from the attackers, but they also managed to remain unfound until half a day after, during which undoubtedly the whole musuem was intensively searched by Tunesian police forces.

The Museum currently has an Ancient Egypt exhibition. I think I know where they were hiding.

My college's Powerless Token Student Government is having elections and based on the campaigning it appears to be the Social Justice Squad versus the Fraternity Dudebro Coalition. And old people wonder why the "millennials" are politically disillusioned, when even inconsequential popularity contests are bitterly divided false dichotomies.

All sound on my computer has ceased, games crash when I try to run them. Check the sound device, computer seems to think it's working fine, drivers are up to date so on and so forth. I am now stumped.

I used to have problems like this with my old laptop, they seemed to be related to part of the sound system being connected to (like literally connected to, to the point where replacing both of them them was a single replacement component) another non-sound related component (in this case a headphone jack connected to a fan) And IIRC when the fan started malfunctioning it made the headphone jack act up too so that the computer thought there were headphones plugged in and muted the regular sound.

So at any rate, check for other malfunctioning parts and/or try plugging in headphones and see if you can get sound from them
