Our cat had an eye infection from the pound after we picked her up, needed to give her eye drops.  Putting drops of medicine into the eyes of a cat who already has an intense dislike of water is a rather difficult task.

This was actually what we did.  One moment we had teeth and fur and an intense hatred of all things moving, next we had burrito cat.  Burrito cat was quite helpless and at the complete mercy of the medicinal eye drops; it was an interesting couple of weeks.

So, Finland gave a guy a 56,000 dollar speeding ticket.  Its actually a pretty cool thing though!  Apparently Finland bases its fines on a persons income, so a guy with no money would get a tiny tiny fine, but if you are a millionaire you could get a massive fine for the same crime.

I kinda like this idea.

The .sucks top-level domain stuff saddens and confuses me. If I'm understanding it right, companies have to pay a ridiculous amount to buy domains.sucks, but if you just want it to redirect to a web forum you can get it for only $9.95. So pretty much extortion.

I feel like it has to work that way. Prices go too low, companies buy massive amounts of domains and the singular people who want them can't access them (or can only get bad ones), prices go too high and nobody buys them.

Only real solution is variable prices. It's understandable, if a bit irritating.

Ah, that reminds me... I actually did a project, of sorts, on Finland and, IIRC, some guy got a 200,000 dollar fine or something like that. It was in the hundred thousands, of that I'm sure.
