I don't always delete emails, but when I do it's because I don't want to deal with them and don't want the guilt of staring at them every day.

I don't have a lot of undeleted email, but I did help someone clear out 12k emails recently. (As it turns out, yahoo's mail site will crash on you if you try to delete more than 4000 at once, but when you get the page open again at least half do stay deleted)

Eh, some people were annoyed at the last session anyways, but that was for other reasons. Reasons vary per person.

Not the first time he's misread spells/monsters/etc. One person has left because of that in a much older game we ran a few years ago, but there were numerous compounding reasons that added to it that had nothing to do with the DM.

And pulling a Henderson is derailing a game so spectacularly that you win. Based on a Call of Cthulhu game featuring a character named Old Man Henderson.
