The PS2 isn't exactly worth emulating unless you absolutely HAVE to still at that. (And if you want my opinion, same for almost anything other than arcade games or the NES since too many inaccuracies for me.)

Though for some games it's actually the better option, emulating metal saga on a modern hard drive has far, FAR shorter loading times. And for translations of things of course it's way easier to patch a rom than write it to a cart.

i mean, there is a lot you can do with a ps2. whole new world out there. shimmering and splendid. all you gotta do is tug google on the sleeve and ask it to show you

... yeah, if we were talking sell/keep for the PS1, I would totally say sell that piece of junk, keep the controllers, and play PS1 games on the computer. Fast forward button and save states. Maybe even legit extract the bios or whatev', first.

Probably extend that sentiment to the PS2 as well, honestly...

The PS2 is very hard and buggy to emulate, though. You're probably best off keeping the PS2.

That's pretty hard to do unless you have a modchip or someone who already did it, though.

It's not that bad, at least performance wise if you're not using a toaster. Emulation bugs usually don't become that much of an issue. The ones that do, though... *shudders*.

Keep the PS2, seriously. It's a great console with great games, and you cant play those on the PS2. I honestly like my PS2 better than my PS3.
