As a person who knows shit about cheese, I can't but agree with pisskop. One should never put processed cheese into a salad. Ever.

Well, Gordon Ramsay agrees with Pisskop, and I agree with Pisskop; American Cheese, otherwise known as Processed Cheese or Unshaped Condom Rubber, is absolutely gross.
I prefer smoked white cheddar or a slice of jack. Or properly aged cheddar.

You use cheddar, mozzarella, feta or blue cheeses on salad, not processed plastic.
I think some people use parmesan too.
