This sounds like something that Homestuck would mention early in it's run that turns out to be a huge plot point, even though I know the Nexus lore, the comprehensible part, anyway.

The short of it was that a notorious online denizen was directed to this forum in hopes of imposing THE NEXUS, a 'second reality' onto the rp section of the forum. This entailed a forced assimilation into an hard to describe hierarchy of sorts. Naturally it was misunderstood to be a forum game of sorts when it was meant to be A HIGHER REALITY. Naturally he got Toaded and everyone is still trying to understand what the hell just happened
