Physical sex is much more logical. You have man bits, lady bits, or neither. Easy. Nobody can get confused by that. I seriously don't understand why people seem to think gender was a good idea in the first place.

I'm pretty sure the only reason you can say this is because society functions on gender. For example, a veteran who got his penis shot off doesn't have to describe his genital situation in detail to strangers. He instead continues to identify as a dude and present as one.

Sounds like a wonderful time. My, we could veer into all sorts of directions from there. How homophobia is either a thing of history or doesn't exist wherever the speaker is from, isn't a serious thing either in real life or least of all on the Internet, how calling someone a faggot is completely ok because they don't mean it in the bad way. Same for sexism. Then we could get to transgender, queer and other such issues, where we could not only deny the existence of deleterious attitudes, but also of certain kinds of identity! We could stubbornly refuse to listen to whatever anyone might have to say about history, social science, or their own experiences in the world, and just marginalise them as being too intense or freaky about the subject.

There's so much to be gained.
