Osaka's mayor on tattoos. He even wants to create a task force to root out tattoo wearers in city positions.
TATOO! EVIL! BURN IT!
*dances around a fire, chanting to the gods*

But which gods? The Outer Gods? The Ęsir? The Great Old Ones? Be specific, man!
I couldn't resist...

The British government is a liiiittle bit overreacting in their noble cause of protecting profits of starving music producers, IMO.
You missed the part where ACTA is going to become an internationally recognized treaty.
No, this can't be true! I don't even know what to say.
Yup. Get this, the situation's so freaking bad, EVEN CANADA SIGNED IT.
Wait WHAT!? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
And the countries that signed it have for the most part already done so, under cover of blackest night and evil wards.
*sigh* Time to pay for the upgraded version of ProXPN

one WTF for me:

I read an article (lost the damned thing now) about a mother calling for others to stop getting the pokemon games because her children started playing 'paralysed' (note: they are 5 or something like that) where they would pretend to go suddenly very rigid. She took away their pokemon games, and generally acted like a fuckwit.

The thing which REALLY made me WTF is I think it wasn't a joke, either.

Best kids ever. To be honest, I was hoping they would play arson instead :P

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

At least they didn't try to play "frozen". Or... what's the status effect caused by Attract called again? Infatuated?

Well that isn't that bad, if it is a move that will work at best 50% of the time.

Y'know, I may know the .gif you're referring to on that one... though it's more wailord on skitty than the other way around.

Also, it's not as horrible as it sounds. Statics out before anything, uh, happens.

Idiot Criminal of the Day:

So, an Applebee's in New Mexico was having a fundraiser (with signs in front) for the New Mexico Special Olympics. Some guy brings two women, runs up a $30 bill, and opts to dine and dash. Unfortunately for him, the fundraiser was called "Tip a Cop" and involved the entire wait staff being replaced by police officers for a night. Needless to say, he didn't get very far.
