Arright, nobody asked, but here's my (evil Republican) two bits on the whole corporate tax deal.

The whole issue could be avoided if we simply lowered the corporate tax rate and/or stopped handing out so many federal subsidies. Seriously. Unmitigated, the US corporate tax rate is one of the highest in the world^{[citation needed]}. A higher tax rate means it's more profitable to hire an army of lawyers to hit the IRS with their briefcases until it goes away than to pay the taxes. Reducing subsidies also means that companies can't use them to circumvent the taxes, but reducing subsidies without reducing the tax rate means that businesses will want to move to Canada or wherever.

Anyhoo, in "my family is insane" news, my mom backed down from barring me from going to my grandma's 70th birthday. I guess she realized that, even witholding(withholding?) most of the story, she still couldn't put a spin on it that made her look good. And I figured out what was wrong with my speakers, so, yay there.

Republicans are the conservative(using the American politics definition, which probably isn't very helpful) party in the USA. They're generally anti-welfare, anti-gun-control, pro-free-market, and stuff like that. Republicans are usually portrayed as evil when anyone wants to take a shot at them(which is very frequently), whereas Democrats(the opposite of Republicans), on the rare occasions when somebody like South Park or SNL takes a jab at them, are portrayed as being mildly stupid. Also, Republicans are portrayed as being racist homophobes. (for certain values of 'homophobe', this may well apply.) I flag my Republican opinions as evil because it saves time for the majority of Bay12.

You've got us there. I wanna go back to the days of the Bull Moose party (yes, this was a thing), or at least the Whigs.

We do have 3rd parties, but they're rather small. My dad's a staunch Libertarian, but he'd rather see a Republican in office than a Democrat. Back when we lived in Virginia, he voted Republican, but now that we live in Kansas, he votes Libertarian.

When I stabbed my hand, it only hurt once I'd washed the blood off and exposed the stab to air. Though that was a small, deeper wound rather than a wide shallow one.

Yeah, I don't get injured because of my NANOMACHINES, but I once stapled my thumb. It went in really easy, and only hurt when it came out. It seems to be a normal thing.
