Why do people keep attributing monotheistic god traits to mythological deities?

The closest to SUPER DUPER gods in ancient mythology being the norm was the Aztec gods were one god literally just blew up an entire universe a few times because it wanted to.

Gods had SUCH A range of powers and abilities in mythology that YES some deities, especially Norse, YOU could have beaten them up.

Bay 12 is just out to take over the world.  Google is also trying to take over the world, realising this google decided to be preemptive and fire a shot over the bow so to speak.
Clearly the only response is to undermine the google headquarters.  We need to hire 7 people at random from the locals, then send them to google in a VW Bus painted to look like a wagon filled with 7 picks and as much booze as we can afford.

Just to say that if we actually did try to strike the earth at Google HQ, we'd probably be arrested.

So, Boxtrolls, tis an odd movie, really, for me it has this weird kind of earnestness to it, like the people who made the movie just wanted to make a nice movie, and it does a good job on the animation (at multiple points, I briefly forgot it wasn't live action) and it's all quite jolly, but it's not something I would watch again and I can't really place my finger on it.

Why can't I make up my mind on the movie?!

So, I started reading Detective Conan back when it was still young, reading through them at a steady pace till I got filled with too much of it. So I put it down, left it for later. Of late a few friends had started getting interested in some Crime Styled d20 games so I thought I might get some ideas or such through the manga, came back to it. Over 500 Chapters new, so back to the start and read them again due to it being so long ago...
I looked at the most resent chapter released, I am not even half way though them damn things!!!

Years of DF has taught me that the hammerer is not on dwarves side. At all.
