I usually prefer the toolless runs myself, if only because the feats that get pulled off are due to pure skill rather than continually resetting and playing frame-by-frame to get the desired effect.
Yeah, but stuff like TAS plays in Super Smash Brother Melee, for example, are all "technically" possible feats that can be accomplished in the engine, but require impossible superhumanly precise frame-by-frame timing to be done. It shows what the engine is capable of if it's used to its absolute fullest. So you get stuff like this or this.

And then you get crazy feats like this where TAS is used to reprogram Super Mario World while it's running on a NES. fun to watch in a mind-blowing way.
Which is all cool stuff, but not what I'm talking about. I prefer the runs where the runner relies only on his/her own skill and reflexes, no tools required to do the "technically possible". Glitches are still acceptable.

Like here, where the guy is playing on a bog-standard N64 and gets past the sealed door in the Temple of Time blindfolded.
Skill is rather irrelevant, since if you attempt to do this by yourself you'll have to do it five thousand times before you get it exactly right.
(Which is why the world-record HL2 speedrun was a "segmented" speedrun done by an entire team of dudes, can you imagine making one mistake one hour in and having to restart?)

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

That segmented speedrun also uses a script though. At least, the newer one.

Remember when I said that I mixed pink lemonade and coffee and that it actually tasted okay? No? Good, because it would be weird if you did, but on a related note, has anyone here ever mixed hot chocolate and coffee? I don't know why I'm thinking about it all of a sudden, but it just sounds like it would either be really good or at the very least decent.
I believe that's basically a mocha.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Yep, it's the very definition of a mocha.

You can get one at just about any coffee shop in the United States, so far as I know.
