Well, to be fair to Tumblr, it was more like a 9 minute video telling girls "Do this or you'll never be loved" so a liiiiittle bit worse than that.

And also to be fair to tumblr, railing on him is easy? Just a click, a few typings, and you're done. It's not like they're devoting extreme effort to it, it's just that there's a looooot of people so it seems like a lot of effort over a 16 year old.

That's actually something that bugs me about how people treat the internet, like websites and such are monolithic entities instead of conglomerations of people. If it takes 2 seconds and a click to do something, like reblogging a rant, then it's not a concerted campaign or anything like that, it's just someone going "Eh, why not?" multiplied by a million.
